Introducing Skin Tox

It’s June, which means summer is officially here, right?! Well technically it’s here, but man is it mild and a bit wet so far! Fingers crossed for warmer, sunnier days!

I’m so excited to share my new treatment with you, it is so amazing! I know I am biased, but trust me, by the time you’ve read all about it, you will be hitting that booking button.

Introducing Skin Tox

I have recently introduced a new treatment called Skin Tox. It is a treatment that combines a cocktail of nutrients through skin-boosting injections with microneedling.

It is oozing with vitamins, minerals, hyaluronic acid, antioxidants and so many yummy ingredients that your skin will drink up! 😋

This treatment uses gold-plated needles that have antibacterial properties that cause tiny trauma to the skin, triggering the healing process, creating a smoother, more even skin texture.

What’s the difference from microneedling or Botox?

The difference with Skin Tox from microneedling is it has 20 needles which are fixed at 0.6mm, so there is absolutely no risk of over injecting, or causing too much trauma to your skin by going to deep.

Botox injects beneath the muscles of your skin, whereas Skin Tox focuses on the skins’ surface, improving the overall appearance and texture.

Benefits

You maybe thinking that all sounds great Nikki, but what are the benefits from having this treatment? Well lovely human 😊, let me share just a few of the benefits you can expect to experience after this treatment;

  • Rejuvenated skin
  • Reduces the appearance of enlarged pores
  • It combats oily skin by normalising the sebaceous glands
  • Improves the appearance of sun-damaged skin
  • Improves the appearance of fine lines & reduces wrinkles
  • You will see an improvement in your skin texture
  • Up to a 400% increase in collagen and elastin production in your skin (over 3-6months)
  • Brightens and hydrates your skin
  • No down time
  • Suitable for all skin types

I know it sounds amazing right?! I did tell you that you’d love it.😍😎

How does it work?

Let me give you a little insight into how this amazing treatment actually works.😁

I have this little device (take a look at the pics I’ve included in this blog) and it’s a beautiful small hand held device with 20 X 0.66mm needles fixed in place. These little needles gently puncture your skin causing microinjury to the surface and it reboots your skins cellular function.

Skin Tox also normalises melanogenesis, which is the complex process where the pigment melanin is produced in melanosomes by melanocytes.

This treatment also promotes the release of growth factors and cytokines, which are small proteins that are vital for controlling the growth and activity of other immune system cells and blood cells. When these are released they send signals to the immune system, which results in supporting your immune system and improves your inflammation response.

It also helps Neovascularization, which is the natural formation of new blood cells and will help improve your skin’s circulation. All of this means the new formation of collagen in any scars you may have, and therefore an improvement in the appearance of them.

When can I expect to see results?

The great thing about Skin Tox is you can expect to see results after your very first treatment, it is that quick, however you can continue to expect to see results in the days and weeks following, as it will continue to subtly improve.

Is it painful?

I know the sound of 20 tiny needles continuously piercing your skin may sound scary and a little painful, but it really isn’t a painful treatment. You can expect to feel a little warmth to your skin and some redness, but other than that it is pain free and the redness should subside after 30 mins to a couple of hours.

Reminder

A little reminder, even though we haven’t seen enough of the sun this summer, keep up the SPF, even in winter and on those cloudy days! It should be your number one beauty product.
